Opening Soon!

Opening Day Update:

Proverbs 16:3-4 “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans. The Lord works out everything to its proper end.”

We want to let you know promptly of our progress made toward our official opening. The best news is that we are scheduled for inspection by DHS on Friday, October 16th. Unfortunately, DHS will not be able to process our documents in one day. Once inspection has been conducted it can take up to two weeks to be cleared to open. Documents have to be processed by the Nashville regional office. It could take much less time, but with this very unpredictable time frame, our administration has decided to proceed with caution. We have adjusted our start date to the later time frame of Monday, November 2nd. However, should we receive clearance earlier we will certainly rally our team to open sooner!

Again this is not the timeline we had hoped for. But also know again, we are pushing in every direction as much as we can to open as soon as we can. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter. Please continue to pray for us all as we go forward in faith.

Please continue to check this site and social media for updates and more communication.

Registration Update:

We are still enrolling students for our Extended Care Program, however we are only accepting students who attend Northeast Elementary School. If you are interested please register. If you would like more information please contact us by phone or email.

The TLC team wants to assure every parent and student during this time of uncertainty they can count on us to be proactive and maintain a healthy and safe environment. It’s not only our responsibility to implement the best practices for our children, but it is our goal to always practice what is best for our families. Each day we promise to take care of a parent’s most precious jewel is a day we promise to be a blanket of security for the whole family! Here are some precautionary steps we will be taking:

  • All adults when in the presence of children will be required to wear a mask.
  • Thermal checks will be taken when each person enters the building and then again when entering the classroom.
  • Handwashing will be required every hour.
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided for both the adults and children. Alcohol free sanitizer will be provided for children.
  • Kitchen staff will follow proper food handling guidelines and ensure cleanliness of the environment and all surfaces. For more details on these specific procedures view: Coronavirus (COVID-19)Information for Food Handlers.

We will continue to read and consider any updates provided by Gov. Bill Lee and on the Tennessee Department of Human Services website.
